Alan Rowe - Owner & Principal Osteopath at ARC Osteopathy

Alan has over 22 years experience in treating people, 14 years as a registered Osteopath.
Having started his training in massage in 2001 he went on to train & qualify in sports and remedial massage in 2002 and as a registered Osteopath in 2009, graduating from the Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine. SInce 2009 he has undertaken further training in Dry Needling, Myofascial Release and Rock Taping amongst others.
Alan is a structural and classical osteopath in Croydon and will use a style and range of techniques that are best suited and tailored to the individual. He works with a range of patients of all ages and levels of fitness. This may include those in pain with a variety of conditions and injuries, especially people who experience back, neck or joint pain and stiffness, or those with sports injuries. He specialises in the treatment of sports injuries, headches, the elderly and of course back and neck pain.
Alan was the team physio for Crystal Palace Ladies FC for 5 seasons, and has also worked with professional skiers. He has been working at the Wellness Therapy Centre since 2009 and thought so highly of the centre with its breadth and quality of the treatments on offer that he took it over in 2010.
He has a teaching qualification and has been teaching Sports & Remedial massage at level 5, Anatomy and a variety of workshops for several highly respected London schools over the last 10 years. He was a council member for the Sports & Remedial Therapy Council which set standards and core curricula for Sports and Remedial therapies in the UK and is a consultant on the new Ofqual recognised Level 4 and Level 5 Sports Massage Qualifications for VTCT and ITEC.
Alan has a passion for skiing and is a qualified BASI level 2 ski instructor. When he gets the chance, he loves travelling and watching films.
Alan is registered with most of the major insurance companies including BUPA, Simply Health, Axa/PPP, WPA, Prudential, Vitality and Cigna.
Alan is available Monday and Thursday and some Wednesdays.

Michaela - Podiatrist
Bsc Podiatric Medicine
Michaela graduated from the University of East London in 2011 and received full membership to the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. She has state registration with the health and care professional council (HCPC) and has a certificate in Local Anaesthesia.
While studying Michaela worked as an auxiliary nurse at Croydon University hospital to gain additional skills in geriatric and urgent care in A&E.
Michaela’s main focus is making her clients feet comfortable and pain free with a thorough and effective service which leave patients feeling as if they are walking on air after their treatment.
Michaela is available on Fridays and alternate Saturdays.

Sarah has over 12 years’ experience as an acupuncturist. She has undertaken extensive post-graduate study in acupuncture, and is also trained in Contemplative Psychology and Integral Relationships. She works on getting to the root of your health issues, leaving no part of the individual behind.
Chronic health conditions, such as unexplained sub-fertility, fatigue, irritable bowel and stress, have excellent outcomes with acupuncture, as the diagnostic framework is better at identifying cause.
Where appropriate, Sarah includes mindfulness tips, nutrition counselling, breath work and herbal medicine to work as quickly as possible to bring the patient back to full health.
Some people use acupuncture preventatively, as working regularly in a therapeutic relationship, reduces stress, strengthens the immune system, and keeps niggling health issues in check.

Russell has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds individually, in groups and more recently working remotely to support clients throughout the pandemic.
He has experience in working with a broad range of issues, specialising in working with clients around Bereavement, LGBTQIA+ issues, and Anxiety. Russell’s main aim is to make sure his client’s feel safe, heard and supported whilst sharing difficult areas of their life in confidence.
