Osteopathy is a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of Muscle and Skeletal conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues, as well as a the nervous and circulatory system, functioning smoothly together.
Our Osteopaths in Croydon work to restore your body to a state of balance, using, physical manipulation, stretching and massage to increase the mobility of joints, to relieve muscle tension, to enhance the blood and nerve supply to tissues, and to help your body’s own healing mechanisms. Osteopaths work by treating the cause of the complaint, rather than just the symptoms. We may also provide advice on posture and exercise to aid recovery, promote health and prevent symptoms recurring.
Osteopathy is a regulated profession and all osteopaths have to be registered with the General Osteopathic Council as our Osteopaths based in Croydon are. It is increasingly recognised by the allopathic medical profession, with guidance having been given to GP's with regards to referrals to osteopaths by the General Medical Council, following decisions by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE).
Our Osteopathic treatments are covered by all the major insurance companies, including BUPA, AXA, AVIVA, Simply Health, Prudential and WPA.
Osteopathy is a safe, effective and natural way to treat many conditions and symptoms. Please click conditions treated for what we are permitted by the Advertising Standards Authority to say that we can treat.
