The revolutionary proliferative peels created by Agera® are non-irritating, pain free and cause no down time from skin shedding, redness or irritation. These unique treatments cause significant stimulation of the fibroblasts deep within the skin to produce new collagen and elastin. This proliferative effect on the skin's cells delivers many anti-ageing benefits without any unsightly skin shedding or redness. After only one session, the skin will look clearer, smoother and brighter. For maximum results a course of Agera® skin peels can be combined with our micro derma crystal mask
What’s an Agera peel made of?
The peels contain a carefully balanced combination of dilute stable acids – Salicylic, L-ascorbic and Lactic acid.
What does it do?
There are various different strengths of peel, and the effects depend which one you choose.
The Anti-ageing peels stimulate your skin to produce collagen and elastin, helping eliminate fine lines and wrinkles.
The Acne peels help to unblock your pores, reduce redness and bring acne under control, as well as reducing the risk of future scarring.
The Pigmentation peels penetrate your skin’s pigment cells to reduce unwanted discolouration and even out the skin tone.
What does a peel feel like?
It can feel warm and tingly when the peel solution goes on some people don’t feel much at all,
A cooling fan will usually be used to make it more comfortable, and you’ll be asked how it feels throughout the process
Depending on the purpose of the peel, it will either be applied once or – for a deeper peel – in several layers. Each layer is only left on for around 5 minutes.
In your first peel, you’ll usually have just one layer of solution ,In your next treatment, this may be increased to two layers, and so on. Treatment will be carefully tailored by your practitioner to meet your specific needs.
How is your skin after an Agera peel? Is there any ‘down time’?
There’s no down time as such. You’ll probably be red and blotchy for a little while, and need to avoid make up for the rest of the day, but you’re fine to wear mineral make up the next day.
Very rarely About three days after each peel you may find a few dry patches appear on your skin, but everyone’s skin reacts differently. Most people won’t visibly peel at all.
Are peels suitable for everyone?
While they’re suitable for most, there are certain circumstances where Agera peels aren’t recommended.
If you’re already having a course of different peels, are pregnant or breastfeeding, allergic to any of the listed ingredients, or taking a course of Roaccutane, Agera peels should be avoided.
How many peels do you need?
It depends on what you’re using them for, and the degree of improvement required. A course of 4 to 10 Agera skin peels is usually recommended for the best results – once every 7-10 days but this can be different for every client and discussed in your consultation as courses will be completely tailored to your skin and discounted, it is also one of our go to pre-party Treatment to give your skin the perfect glow before your big event
